MENTAL WELL-BEING FOR THE CREATIVE MIND

Having a creative mind is like renting space in your head to a Moody Tiger.

It does have its advantages.

Throughout my 15+ years as a Professor and Counselor, I've worked with hundreds of creatives. I am excited now to help others develop the skills to live in harmony with their “mental tigers.”

- Colleen Finn, Tiger Trainer

ONBOARDING

Give your employees a running start when they join your agency. Mastering Time Management skills will help make projects run more smoothly and give your employees the tools they need to handle the daily challenges that come with working in a creative field.

“Colleen’s Time Management Seminar is essential for all Junior and Mid-Level Creatives. After seeing the results of the students who implemented Colleen’s method, I hired her to present to all incoming classes to help them balance the heavy workloads and deadlines.”
– Janie B. Executive Director/Director of Education,
The Creative Circus, Atlanta GA

DEI

Colleen has spent her career transforming mental obstacles into creative successes. Her seminars and coaching, which especially benefit underrepresented groups, also provide much-needed content and guidance for addressing neurodivergence.

“Colleen was one of my favorite teachers at The Creative Circus. I was struggling a LOT with my mental health at the time, and I can't even count how many times I showed up to her office in tears. Whether my work was finished or not, she was always supportive and comforting. I never felt like I was being judged or looked down upon or feared talking to her about it. I would not have made it through school without her and we still stay in contact to this day.”
- Alex Faulkner, Tattoo Artist, The Grimoire Tattoo, Chattanooga TN

CONTINUING EDUCATION

As companies and organizations are continuing to learn how to best manage teams and help individuals develop skills in the Post-Covid era, it’s clear that providing opportunities for learning how to manage their time is critical. And as Important as this is for in-person teams, it is even more so for remote employees and blended teams.

“Colleen’s willingness to help others navigate the creative process, as long as she has, speaks volumes. She helped me so much in getting a handle on time management and how to handle the anxiety and imposter syndrome that comes with being a designer.”
- Bruce Young, Freelance Designer, Atlanta GA

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

ONE-ON-ONE CREATIVE COACHING

Mental well-being is crucial for all employees, and yet it is often one of the most challenging components to address in the workplace. Additionally, there is something remarkably unique about the mind of a creative person. Creatives often experience imposter’s syndrome, stress, anxiety, depression and general overwhelm on a different level. These feelings in turn frequently lead to creative paralysis which can have multiple negative impacts including: production delays, ineffective coordination with team members and missed project deadlines.

Colleen offers individual sessions via Zoom or phone with employees who can benefit from additional coaching to help them with specific issues. She has spent 15+ years learning how to “tame the tiger,” that creatives wrestle with, giving her a veritable fountain of knowledge, advice and support to help your employees get back on track and develop tested tools to handle future obstacles.
